Notes on process
The first pages like this came out organically in morning pages back in April of this year, going for the vibe of a kidz page within a non-kid magazine or newspaper. With the Krampus page, I made good on a 2024 goal within the eleventh hour. Hooray!
Further back, in 2012, I worked on a logic puzzle based on Nicolas Cage trying to piece together what movies he filmed after seemingly blacking out for three months. The drafts are lost to time, but I have a long love for humor writing that plays with form and it’s cool to have something to show for it.
I wanted to do more puzzles for Christmas gifts. I promptly ended up derailed by food poisioning so we’re meeting ourselves as we are. Made this as practice the week before the fateful fajita, then tweaked the page it as the body permitted.
